Hourly rate: $14.00

Number of weeks: 8 weeks

Total hours: 240

Time frame: Within May 2018 – August 2018

Reporting to CCMW National’s Projects Coordinator, the Graphic Designer will create graphic material for all CCMW National, CCMW Youth, and CCMW chapter events, campaigns and marketing endeavors. The Graphic Designer will develop and publish digital content for CCMW’s website and social media and will be required to submit layouts of all graphics in advance for approval by the Projects Coordinator.

 

Eligible Requirements:

Applicants must be

  • between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
  • registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
  • intending to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
  • a student in a recognized secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program;
  • a Canadian Citizens, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*
  • legally entitled to work according to Ontario legislation and regulations

 

Experience:

Experience in designing graphic materials, experience in programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and experience in working remotely and in a team. A portfolio is an asset.

 

Skills:

A passion and enthusiasm for design, excellent time management skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and experience in programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

 

Supervision and mentoring plan:

This is a remote position that requires regular meetings with CCMW National’s Projects Coordinator within the Greater Toronto Area. The Graphic Designer will be trained and supported by the Projects Coordinator.

 

Health and safety practices in the workplace:

The Projects Coordinator will provide the CCMW Assistant Coordinator with all the information concerning health and safety standards and regulations.
