This summer, the Canadian Council of Muslim Women brought on board three amazing summer interns; Aima Warraich (Digital Media Coordinator), Zaynab Jamal (Executive Assistant), and Naeema Hassan (Events Coordinator). We are excited for what creative ideas these enthusiastic and dedicated young Muslim women bring to the table.
“Working for the Canadian Council of Muslim Women this summer was exactly what I needed to continue motivating myself to be a leader in my community. I’ve never worked with a team that is as encouraging and supportive like the CCMW team. The moment I was selected to be an intern, I was excited and thrilled to be amongst leaders and mentors that remind me of how intelligent and special I am. The reason why this was important to me, is because community work can truly be discouraging at times but CCMW has reassured me that surely with good work comes happiness, success, and family ties that are unbreakable. I’m forever grateful for this opportunity and will cherish these moments close to my heart.”
